Winter’s Here

It’s the first day

of winter. And all is a-glow.

Spade – plow out in full force.

As the snow continues to fall.

Layer o’er layer of white icing packs. Children wake up

envisioning sleighs – snowmen – skates, the such.

Day or night mother earth is luminous.

Pretty lights brighten

inside – out.

Evergreen, afresh, weighty by white.

Tuffs of white stuff drop

o’er rooftop

edges.

Some shower down by whirls of

wind. Mothers festivity

is so inviting,

cheery.
