Homeless Shelter Cat

shelter cat

After a while the cove of a light cover keeps the pain from seeping.
It’s what you come to expect.  You don’t even what to try anymore.
As long as no-one drops by to bloody you up – this space you enjoy.

Please, I, don’t need any offering of care.  Just leave me a-lone OK?
An outside shelter is all this alley cat is after to keep the blues away.
I’m nowhere near kitten age so I’ve lost hope for love on Valentines.

The day’s starting to fade now and luckily no one has pushed me on.
Possibly, with a Lit luck, a heating duct will, kindly, offer a Lit warmth.
My owner thought me an expense – unlike his pretty, new, kitten luv.
