I see a frog,

He hops on a log.

His eyes are big.

His skin is clammy.

You sir look like my green pajamas.

Can I take you in – into my house?

But mom say’s you like to hide and play outside.

I am happy I spotted you today!

Now, you should be on your way.

RIB-BIT RIB-BIT, CROAK say’s the frog.

I saw a frog.  Just one – no more.

One frog, he, hopped on my lawn.

This frog has a home near the pond.

Rib-bit Rib-bit Rib-bit Rib-bit

See you next time you decide to visit!

I see a bear.

A brown bear with a black nose.

He has five claws on each of his, front, paw’s.

Five plus five equals ten.

ONE TWO THREE – FOUR AND FIVE

SIX SEVEN EIGHT – NINE AND TEN

Ten claws mark a tree trunk.

The bear leans on the tree to scratch his back.

He climbs the tree to chase a bee.

The bee disappears into a hive.

Then out comes more bees. More bees buzz

circle around the bear’s eyes and head.

The bear reaches, swipes the hive.

The cone shaped home drops to the ground.

Whir – whir more bees escape…

BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ, BUZZ AND BUZZ

That bear sees bees are no fun. The bear runs away.

To his home in a cave.

I see a cat.

She is furry and fat.

She lays on a purple mat.

The yellow sun warms her back.

A cat has five toes on each front paw.

ONE TWO THREE – FOUR AND FIVE

SIX SEVEN EIGHT – NINE AND TEN

Her kittens play in the straw and the hay.

They chase ONE  TWO  THREE  FOUR  FIVE

mice out from the open shed.

Now look where they go.

They scurry through the long, cool, grass.

I see a bird.

And in a nest tiny birds chirp.

Five little birds sing sing sing.

Mother bird – blue bird

she feeds her hatchlings.

Five little birds eat two squiggly worms.

ONE AND TWO

THREE AND FOUR

FIVE AND SIX

SEVEN AND EIGHT

NINE AND TEN

That makes,

TWO FOUR SIX EIGHT TEN

I see a train.

Go clickety clack down the lane.

It passes my house.

The conductor with a red hat and overall’s wave’s.

Toot toot goes his horn.

I see five orange box cars full of grain.

And two black, round, tank cars too.

Inside those barrels is oil or gas.

One cattle car rattles by. I see cows inside.

AS the train goes CLICKETY CLACK down the track

it stops near the sea.

A big ship has sea-containers.

They are loaded onto the train.

One sea-container has fish inside.

I see those fish go SWISH – SWISH.

One sea-container is full of teddy bears!

Sea-containers will hold anything.

CLICKETY CLACK

CLICKETY CLACK

Now you can add from one to ten.
